The recent police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the USA have been triggers activating the people most impacted by the already existing deeply rooted systemic issues in American society that rob us of our humanity - ALL of us. The street protests that have followed, both peaceful and violent, are testimony to these problems that have still not been resolved after so many generations of struggle.

On June 2, in a Zoom writing session, I co-wrote this song 'Only WE Can Save Us Now' with two other American songwriters based in Nashville TN. Since that time the song has gone through various iterations and even been made into a film, thanks to the incredible people that make up my SF Bay Area community. I'm including the final lyrics as I believe the song can speak for itself.
